The main attraction at Torquay has to be the beautiful beaches of the Tor Bay area. Devon has over 300 miles of coastline and you can find beaches of every description for surfing, swimming, sailing, fishing or just relaxing in the sun .

Torquay has many other attractions , most of them are open all year to make your stay as energetic or relaxing as you want.

For all you Fisherman out there, why not treat yourself to one of the many fishing trips that Torquay has to offer. From flounders to wreck fishing for Congers there is a fish out there with your name on it........

Why not take a trip to Babbacombe Model Village. Open every day except Christmas Day the hundreds of models and figures, combined with award winning gardens, illuminations and letterland quiz trail will combine to make it a fun day out for all the family.
How about a visit to Torre Abbey, one of Devon's greatest buildings. Open Easter to November 1st, its historic rooms and stunning art collection make it a must to visit. Refreshments in the Victorian kitchen , Antiques hunt and Kids Quest ensures a friendly welcome for all the family.

For the more adventurous why not try The Ancient Time Walk at Kents Cavern. Open all year this national heritage site enables you to explore the ancient passageways and caverns of these 2 million year old caves.
The caves were used to shelter humans and animals, notably cave bears, and the Time Walk recreates the struggle and adventures of their lives. If you are feeling really brave why not try the evening visits that are available April-October.
The Victorian Candlelit Walk, Ghostly Cave Walk and Chiller are an adventure in themselves.

The Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway .Relive the great age of steam on a journey along the spectacular Torbay coastline to the olde worlde port of Dartmouth and the fascinating River Dart Estuary

Visit 'Bygones' a Life Size Victorian Street where you can wander back in time and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells from a bygone age. Clamber aboard a 28 ton Steam Engine or experience the Walkthrough WW1 Trench. With it's 20 shops and period rooms it becomes 3 floors of pure nostalgia.

Visit Paignton Zoo and explore 6 of the worlds habitat's over 75 acres. With over 74 endangered species it's a fun and educational day out.
Of course the young and young at heart will want to visit Quaywest , the UK's only outdoor waterpark . With thrilling waterslides and Pools to Grand-Prix Go-Karts, Amusement Rides, Beach Sports, Bumper Boats and Crazy Golf a visit is a must.
